Raider Classic in Beavercreek, OH

The Raider Classic was held in Beavercreek, OH on the weekend of November 10th-11th by Wright State. The bowling center was Beaver-Vu, and the oil pattern was the PBA shot known as the Shark. The Shark is a moderately high scoring pattern with 44 ft of oil. The best line is usually in the middle with a break point (the area on the lane where the ball begins to hook) around 12, but a far outside line is also playable (much more risk, however).

The Bellarmine Knights took part in the tournament and did exceptionally well. The guy's team ended day one in 7th place, which is highest place Bellarmine's guy team has ever finished after completing an entire day. 900 and over series of 5 man teams were a common scene, and the energy was high.

The great start faded, however, when day two arrived. It was the same shot but a new day. The magic and energy of the previous day were absent, and it showed in the baker scores. The guy's team moved from 7th to 13th, which is where they finished. Overall, it was a great tournament for Bellarmine and a learning experience.
